ATTRITION MILLS

Features

  • Produces particles within narrow size ranges from 10 to 100 mesh
  • High throughput-to-horsepower ratio
  • Rotating disc and shaft assembly supported by radial and thrust-load-rated pillow block ball bearings
  • Adjustable grinding plate spring pressure assures product uniformity
  • Several milling disc patterns available to optimize size reduction for specific material types
  • Quick-release separation of discs allows mill to be opened without need to readjust plate gap
  • Spring loading allows runner disc to be forced away from stator disc to allow passage of hard foreign substances
  • Access doors allow easy clean-out, maintenance, inspection
  • Compact overhead motor-mounted drive with V-belt arrangement as standard
  • Fully enclosed drive guards and limit switches for operator safety
  • Discs are cast or CNC machined of Ni-Hard® alloy, and then machined on a blanchard grinder for absolute flatness
  • Carbon steel machines come standard with cast-sectioned disc plates of carbon steel or various alloys including Ni-Hard® (one-piece discs optional)
  • Sanitary stainless steel machines come standard with one-piece, machined stationary and rotating discs
  • Port for direct plate gap measuring
